Jersey.

Happy Labor Day weekend friends! I'm back aux etas unis until Thanksgiving, and even though I'm missing the hell outta Doc, SwitzerFrance, my fig trees and all our cheese, I'm very excited for the opportunity I've got coming up in the next few weeks. Remember that post long ago where I was completely ambiguous about great things happening? Well, those things are right now. I leave for Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in 2 weeks, and will therefore be living in Los Angeles for 9 weeks. I've never been to California before, and even though we'll be busy 99% of the time and exhausted, I'm hoping to get to see a little bit of LA. Any suggestions for the 1% free time that I'll have?

To my friends on American soil and abroad, hope you're having some good Labor Day Fun, and happy first day of College Football!

A la prochaine friends...

  1. Wow, you are going to be away for a long time. It's hard to tell you where to go or do in LA without having a better idea of where you are going to be situated while you are there. LA is not only large in terms of population but it spreads out over a HUGE area. With traffic it seems almost 24 hours a day it is quite a challenge to get anywhere. I am in Southern CA several times a month for work and I fight the traffic constantly. I hope you enjoy your training and time in LA.

  2. Thanks Michel! I'll be in the area in and around LAX! I will also not have a car, but I'm used to that ;)

  3. You should be able to get a bus to San Monica; check out the Third Street Promenade, the Santa Monica Pier and nearby Venice Beach. You will get the Pacific Ocean and some of the best people watching in the world.
