We got a house!!! In Thoiry! And it's the one we wanted! Yeah for houses! The apartment hunting search is now over, and come April 17th we will begin to allow ourselves to get settled after 4 plus months of being nomads and living out of suitcases. Thank you to everyone who has helped with rides, hosted us for lunch, forwarded websites, and provided tips and insider information during our search. It's been a lot of fun looking at the good, the bad and the ugly of available places to rent, and we're so happy that we found a place that we both knew was "the one" from the moment we saw it (and the St. Tropez patio with a view of the Swiss Alps and vineyards didn't hurt either...). What a fantastic way to begin a Sunday!
